Allison, Dot : Substance

She's attempting to go a bit electroclash, with a grimy digital beat...

You may not know this, but Dot Allison is in fact Kylie Minogue. Oh all right, not really, but like Kylie she's very much a mannequin for the latest dance music fashions, and she's now been wearing their threads a little unsuccessfully for ten years or so. In the early '90s she dealt in what we used to call 'blissed-out club pop', more recently she was on the [/a] album, now she's attempting to go a bit electroclash, with a grimy digital beat and a [a] remix. She says she wants something of substance. Perhaps a tune.
