Oakenfold, Paul : The Harder They Come

...a right old plodder...

First off, this is NOT a cover of the Jimmy Cliff classic, but the surprisingly downbeat follow-up to sunkissed worldwide smash 'Starry Eyed Surprise' featuring guest vocals from a stereotypically 'menacing' Tricky

and 16 year-old unknown warbler Keisha White.

>And it’s a right old plodder, sounding like a watered-down version of something off the Trickster's 'Maxinquaye' LP, so it’ll be mass suicide rather than murder on the dancefloors. But never mind, a live version of '...Surprise' appears as one of the bonus tracks. Just as well really.
