50 Cent : In Da Club
...in his hands this party anthem is lifted into the realms of the truly spectacular...
He says he'll get rich or die trying, but that's unlikely to be a sacrifice 50 Cent has to make. Discovered jointly by Eminem and Dr Dre, Curtis Jackson is a man with a great deal of weight behind him, but he also packs a considerable punch himself.
Recently it's been Ja Rule (with whom 50 Cent has 'issues') who's felt this, but 'In Da Club' showcases a talent able to eclipse even hip-hop's current, and slightly retro, fascination with 'beef'. In the tradition of New York MCs from [a][/a] to JAY-Z, 50 Cent simply has an incredible delivery - in his hands this party anthem is lifted into the realms of the truly spectacular, and makes the thug life finally sound like the good life once again.
