Amen : The Waiting 18
...they have not mellowed into capitalist kid-fleecing comfort...
Nuns with guns. Porn star breasts viewed through a crucifix keyhole. This might be the last single from Amen's mighty 'We Have Come For Your Parents', but the artwork is keen to prove they have not mellowed into capitalist kid-fleecing comfort - not that the Stooges-stupor within leaves you in much doubt. "My medication never lies", howls Casey Chaos, who, recent dodgy empathy with the militia movement aside, has done a better job than anyone recently of leading us into temptation and delivering evil to us like some crazed postal worker. Until next time, the world's abbesses can sleep at night. Victoria Segal
