Love Is A Losing Game

Amy Winehouse Pic: Tom Oxley
Really, where would we be without Southgate’s Queen Of Soul? In the past month alone she’s seen hubby Blake Fielder-Civil (aka Plastic Pete) banged up, called her own fans “a bunch of cunts”, been splattered all over the tabloids with what appears to be half of Bolivia up her right nostril and even been criticised by the UN for glamorising cocaine. Bowman, Falconer, Meighan – you need to up your game. The song, you say? A sublime deep-soul lament, so far ahead of her supposed peers it’s like comparing a Bentley with a BMX.
