WK, Andrew : Party Hard
'Party Hard' is ugly music beautifully executed, its central message - [I]"We do what we like and we like what do" - driven home like an over-the-limit truck.
Pitchers of beer and nachos. Sports bar brawls in cut-off denim. Big foam hands waving through a stadium sea of plaid. Whatever else he's going to do - and he's going to do the lot - it's clear that Andrew WK has already rewritten the language of cool. 'Party Hard' is ugly music beautifully executed, its central message - [I]"We do what we like and we like what do" - driven home like an over-the-limit truck. A background chant of "partyhardpartyhard", stadium-swallowing riffs, brawn-in-the-USA jubilation - it's brilliant, oddly moving, and as for fashion, well, come the spring there's going to be [I]a lot of long hair about. Obviously, Andrew WK risks spawning a beer-monster, but for now, this is a hedonistic beauty.
