Puzzle pop? Sexy? Um, it’s about as enticing as a shoeless Britney covered in chip fat, flailing about in her mansion screaming at her long-departed servants for more Wotsits. But great? Yes indeedy. After ‘Atlas’ statuesque Single Of The Year beatology, grand epicticians Battles have created yet another slice of smoking space-rock that doesn’t disintegrate into ethereal nothingness. With its TV On the Radio thump and mathematical wibblery, it’s the sound of the dancefloor being shaken to its very tiles. Or it’s the sound of Yannis Foals’ dreams come to life.
