NME Reviews

Biffy Clyro

Saturday Superhouse

The fact that Biffy are from Scotland is confusing, especially when they dish out power-punk that’s so American it’s practically got the Stars & Stripes embossed on it. Yet, this pounding pop is 100 times more likeable than the faux-emo dished out by the Topshop-gothed likes of MCR. We know it’s a foolish writer who bats around words like ‘anthem’, but ‘Saturday Superhouse’ may just be worthy of such an accolade.
