Bjork : Pagan Poetry
The covers of the records change, but not much else does at all. ..
Much is made of Bjork's continued invention and embrace of new stylistic developments. Chiefly, it must be said, by complete crackpots, because since 1993 Bjork has basically been flogging exactly the same record, with exactly the same tune, to exactly the same people, who all work at Channel 4. Nothing wrong with that, arguably, and this features the same familiar breathy vocals (this time saying "I lah-harf him/I lah-harf him") but over a kind of X-Files theme. To continue the theme: if Royksopp are the Norwegian Spiller, then Bjork is the Icelandic Ramones. The covers of the records change, but not much else does at all.
