You Bring Me Down

Last year must have been amazing for Blood Red Shoes, because they’re repeating it. Releasing ‘You Bring Me Down’ at the end of 2006 earned them a place in every respectable Ones To Watch list, so why not whack it out again, eh? Christ! Have some self re-cocking-spect. Putting that aside, this song is pure pop perfection. Oozing femme fatale spirit, it’s a sugar-coated blast of savage punk that sounds like the joyous joyride out of previous single ‘It’s Getting Boring By The Sea’. In short, it shows exactly why we’ve come to expect so much more from this band than a year-old re-release. Boo.
