Spears, Britney : I Love Rock 'N' Roll

It's a challenge to listen to it without smiling but still, you can only try

The Strokes, The Datsuns and now, The Spears.

Yes, even Britney
has joined the garage-rock revolution, rolling out the guitars and rolling on the leather in preparation for a residency at The 100 Club and a lost weekend with The Libertines.

Oh, if only. This cover of Joan Jett's hellion classic is as much in love with rock'n'roll as it is with the poor and the unattractive and given the degree of breathiness involved, chances are the target demographic isn't so much hanging out with [a][/a]
somewhere cool as hanging out in a Datsun somewhere behind King's Cross. It's a challenge to listen to it without smiling but still, you can only try.
