Cat The Dog

I’m A Romantic/Devil In ME

Cat The Dog

Anyone remember The Cooper Temple Clause? Yeah? Imagine their singer Ben Gautrey fronting Queens Of The Stone Age, because that’s pretty much how Brighton’s Cat The Dog sound on this here debut single. “In my heart I’m such a romantic” growls singer Chris Melian over the top of a raunchy ‘Bleach’-period Nirvana riff, but we think he’s probably lying in an attempt to get laid. The cad! Flipside ‘Devil In Me’ starts off sounding like TCTC’s ‘Film-Maker’ (definitely no bad thing) before ending up a little bit System Of A Down. A promising start, then.
