The sound of summer

Like LCD Soundsystem chilling in a field at Glasto with a glass of Pimm’s in one hand and some “like, good vibes” in another, this, if you needed one, is the sound of your summer festival beginning. For all the smooth, cruising Antipodean vocals that sound like Daft Punk with booming, beating hearts instead of messy computer wires and an insistent groove that makes you want to whack all your worldly belongings onto a barbeque and start again, you wouldn’t guess that the song’s actually about that fleeting holiday romance that hits you in the gut like nothing you’ve ever felt before and then rots away your danglers like urinating was never painless. Doomed electronic love, it’s like Romeo And Juliet if Romeo was a toaster and Juliet was a coffee maker.
