By the time D-12's 'I Shit On You' got played on the radio it had been edited so severely it was practically an instrumental - not that that was any great loss. They've circumvented a ban this time by retitling this record (cough) 'Purple Hills', copping a lick from Digital Underground's 'Humpty Dance' (also used on the first Spice Girls album, fact fans) and shooting a ridiculous video of themselves driving up and down, well, some purple hills. This, needless to say, doesn't disguise the fact that this is one of the most blatant drug anthems ever, a slightly sickening homage to excess which brings a whole new meaning to the term "holding up a mirror to society".
