Does It Offend You, Yeah?

A band called Does It Offend You, Yeah? at a night called Another Music = Another Kitchen might, at first glance, smack of scenester bullshit. But before you run off to The Enemy looking for a dose of ‘real fookin’ music’, please bear in mind that some bands seek out pretension and some bands have pretension thrust upon them. Does It Offend You, Yeah? are merely here to have fun, whether that’s bombarding us with beach balls, practising high dives off the bass drum, or administering autopsies on Roland synthesizers with shattered drumsticks, as on LCD-meets-AC/DC-WTF classic and the closest thing they have to a single, ‘Let’s Make Out’. Big fans Klaxons clearly have their musical radar well tuned.
