Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors

In a season of lifeless comebacks, it seems Editors have found their life-force in death itself. ‘Smokers…’ is a dizzying gurn across the contradictions of terminal illness, asking, “How can we smile with our jaws wired shut?” and crackling as fierce and bright as the final cinders of a life that knows it’s about to be extinguished. Audacious, certainly, and very good to boot. ‘Hump De Bump’ it ain’t.
