Eminem : Cleanin' Out My Closet

...may be long on hate but it's short on hooks...

The man who defends himself in court has a fool for a client, and here Eminem
manages to prove the same is true of the man who produces himself, too. The second single from 'The Eminem Show' may be long on hate but it's short on hooks, and as such is the first genuinely bad Eminem
record.

Eminem
has us confused with nice people. Here, if you didn't already know, is a man with grievances against his mother, which he tells us about. The thing is, though, we only normally care because Eminem
usually makes quite funny pop records about it. This being a bitter, boring dirge, it's comparatively straightforward not to care at all.
