Emma Pollock

Adrenaline

Emma Pollock was the singer for twee ’90s Glasgow indie-popsters The Delgados, who were a bit like Los Campesinos! only with an inexplicable obsession with pro cycling. The galloping piano riffs of her debut solo single are a bolder statement than The Delgados’ whispery chamber pop, but without
the kooky diversions of Regina Spektor it’s basically just the soundtrack to that one off Dawson’s Creek having a cry-wank over Katie Holmes.
