Enon : Motor cross

You're gonna love it, cool cats.

Incredible. No sooner do you mention Jim O'Rourke's name

than he's

on the very next seven-inch in your pile. Enon is not his

group, but

the latest project by John Schmersal - one-time member of US

titans Brainiac.

'Motor Cross' is another painfully plodding self-obsessed dirge of the kind that seems to be flowing out of

America with sickening regularity and is, y'know, alright. "What it lacks is madness," as Brian Eno said as he left Roxy Music

in 1973.

Happily, 'Burning The Bread' on side two is a totally

aggregation of tape loops, speeded-up voices and violins. You're gonna love it, cool cats.
