We Can Breathe In Space They Just Don’t Want Us To Escape

So who out there had Enter Shikari down as a one-trick mothership? Well, fooled again. Our nubile young futurists’ strategy to stop the formula going stale is to do more of the same, just much, much more so. As a song, ‘We Can Breathe…’ is so ostentatious and singalong-able it could almost be by Queen, yet it’s barely a rock song at all. More of a maelstrom of sirens, synths and squiggly bits that could overpower an elephant. Their raviest endeavour to date and, whisper it, their best.
