Charming The Flames

The Fields
One day, we’ll locate the man who first had the idea of making all modern rock songs quiet bit-loud bit-quiet bit-loud bit and descend on his house with burning torches. ‘Charming The Flames’ ploughs that familiar furrow and there’s nothing to distinguish it from umpteen other cardigan-rock bands, which is a shame, because the reverb-soaked B-side ‘Cold Hearted Machinery’ is a miniature marvel.
