NME stood next to the implausibly posh Charlie Simpson at one of Kings Of Leon’s first London shows. Impressed with the Followills’ then expansive facial hair, he turned to his friend and said something like, “One would simply die to have a beard like that.” Now, literally and metaphorically, Charlie wears the beard of rock and, three Fightstar albums in, it still doesn’t suit him. Clichés abound from the cover to the clunky titles to
the choirs. It’s a case of if it’s not Busted don’t fix it, but I wouldn’t bother listening to it either.

fightstars past two albums and one E.P have been fantastic, did you even listen to thi album, i wouldnt have minded if you said why the album was bad y'know like naming tracks and how bad/good they are, but no you had to take a cheap shot. nme is most likely the most read music mag, start earning that title by takin it seriously

How is that a review of the Album ?it was a passing comment on Charlie at best and a spiteful swipe at a successful band at worst.

Im not a great fan of fightstar, but thats a really poor review. A bad album doesnt excuse shoddy journalism.

i forgot NME follows music that has no particular talent and the bands are just copies of existing ones. Just like BUSTEDHowever, Fightstar have clear talent throughout the band and clearly are much more worthy than a 2 out of 10. Maybe stop focusing on bands like The Wombats and notice skill and talent with instruments

are you kidding me? who wrote this by the way? an ex Busted.I recognize Charlie because of his great work on Fighstar and I think a lot of people too. By the way, everyone who agrees with this post should hear beyond the bands that donÂ´t even know how to play and hear more of Fightstar because they are so amazing!
