Folk Implosion
Free To Go(Domino)
Much like most of their last album, 'One Part Lullaby', this is a three-minute perfect pop song of great beauty, tinged with a terrible sadness. The sense of longing conveyed by the line, "They just leave", means this song can be almost unbearable to listen to without blubbering, depending
on what you've been up to the
night before.
Again we must ask Lou Barlow why he must persist in making patchy, difficult Sebadoh albums when his Folk Implosion material is this fantastic.
