The Pretender

It’s 10 whole years since the most vital Foo Fighters album, ‘The Colour And The Shape’, hit the shelves. How do we know this? Because they’ve just re-released the damn thing, that’s how. New single ‘The Pretender’ was already up against it, what with the traditionally slow period as we head towards Christmas and a slew of brilliant singles from young whippersnappers like Cajun Dance Party and I Was A Cub Scout, but putting it head-to-head with the likes of ‘Monkey Wrench’ and ‘Everlong’ just seems plain silly. Needless to say, this pales in comparison.
