Radar Live Friendly Fires

On Board

Distinctly less new rave and more Auntie Maureen in her swank, St Albans’ Friendly Fires are a classy prospect. It’s electro-pop as evening wear – the pilfering bow-tie bass of LCD Soundsystem, the shining brogues and the Teflon beats of !!!, and the groove’n’grope of Hot Chip, to complete a dressed-to-thrill slice of tuxedo-electro brilliance. Just as the punk-funk ferry departs we say climb on board gentlemen.
