The Gallows

In The Belly Of A Shark

Spitting, gouging, scything, raging – and that was just the scrum in the office to get hold of the review copy – such is the wonder of Gallows. “So you’re alive in the belly of a shark/So cold/So dark” is the opening lyric. Beats ‘Same Jeans’, eh? After which comes a white-knuckle riptide of post-thrash pop metal and anger management emoting from Frank Carter, which provides indisputable proof Gallows remain the best thing on three chords. Noah doubt about it. Sorry (we think he means Jonah, who was actually swallowed by a whale – pedantic Old Testament Ed).
