Find The Time

Second album time for the band Noel Gallagher calls Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fuck Off, and Sam Duckworth has clearly aimed his sights high. Trouble is, lead single ‘Find The Time’ is a spectacular misfire. It was obviously written with the express intention of accompanying a montage of sad-faced England footballers right after they got knocked out of Euro 2008. But now they’re not even in it, so what’s left for ‘Find The Time’ to accompany? A sad-faced darts player? An internet video of a cat stuck in a bucket? Think fast, Sam Duckworth. And cheer up, for god’s sake.

Get Cape Wear Cape Fly..Find the time.
From a 'have a guitar, have the time and will play' gig schedule, to a life changing Reading set this summer, it's pretty obvious Get Cape Wear Cape Fly is on the verge of something big.
The song starts off with a gentle acoustic riff and Sam Duckworth's vocal which comes across much better and sounding like carbon copy of that Dashboard Confessional guy, still remaining infectiously catchy.
It maybe lacking a little punch compared to his previous work, it more than makes up for it with Sam's unavoidable charm.

I completley disagree with anyone who says that this bloke has stormed on to the scene most impressively. His first album, despite the hugely long title was a bigger success than even he can imagine. He went from very basic shit style gigs to the tent at Reading and this year, even heading up main stage. Having seen him 3 times, he hasn't changed an awful amount which says something for the music culture today. His second album however, completley blew me away. It is much better than the first and he has definitely got one firm foot on the music ladder now. Whether he has the balls to break America, who knows? He may just be a very simple looking lad, with a laptop and a couple of trumpets, but after seeing him live and hearing the new album over and over again there is much more than meets the eye.
