Album review: Goes Cube - 'Another Day Has Passed'

Loud, but not loud enough

Album review: Goes Cube - 'Another Day Has Passed'

7 / 10 Loud music is at its best when it makes you feel like you might lose control and repeatedly bash your skull into the nearest wall until you’re left with nothing but a bloody neck stump to deal with. Brooklyn thrash harbingers Goes Cube tiptoe on this edge, but never throw themselves in. Their violent stamina is somehow tempered by studio process. There’s still enough raw aggression on the likes of ‘Back To Basics’ to make you want to punch yourself in the face once or twice, but all-out headwrecking is kept on hold.
