Hard-Fi

Hard Fi

Hard Fi

I Shall Overcome

Nice to see Hard-Fi ditching their toe-curling forays into sounding exactly like Carter USM in favour of coming up with something a little more, well, Hard-Fi-ish this time round. And by that we mean it sounds almost exactly like a Robbie Williams B-side from 2005. It soars, it crunches, it vanishes from your brain the very second it finishes — forget No Cover Art, the sleeve of ‘I Shall Overcome’ should read No Discernible
Tune To Speak Of. Still, the song lyrically echoes ‘Tubthumping’ by Chumbawamba, so there’s the chance Kai Stephens might spill a glass of Evian over Geoff Hoon come Brits night.
