Kano is from London. In case you didn’t get this impression from his accent, he’s a grime MC (they don’t usually tend to hang out in Devon), his latest album is called ‘London Town’ and he’s now teamed up with original Colchester Cockney Damon Albarn. He appears in a puff of pea soup, twirling his pearly cane and adding a ladleful of ‘Kingdom Of Doom’-style melancholia to what might have been a heavy-handed lecture about community spirit. Kano proposes hosting a street party, but Damon’s plaintive school-choir chorus suggests he’s actually about to conduct a wake. Deliciously doleful.
