Merry Happy // Fiction

By a stunning coincidence, your correspondent also attended the BRIT School and remembers Kate as a nice girl who’d spend hours playing kiss-chase with the Arctic Monkeys (studious lads, them, though given to the odd jape, like when they placed a bucket of water above the class door just before Luke Kook swanned through arm-in-arm with both Leona Lewis and Adele – the cad!). So yeah, she seemed pleasant enough. But who knew that one day she’d develop the canny diarist’s eye needed to paint details about “cheese on toast” into a ballad of such emotionally mature romantic resignation?

Kate Nash's "music" is putrid bilge and should be flushed away. Do the music world a favour and go and buy the new Elbow album instead!

oh my gooshh kate nash is just amazzzing. that mock accent, those intelligent lyrics. you seriously can't get much better, i mean, it's almost on a par with basshunter, and that's some good stuff.

i like it. And Kate Nash's 'music' is some of the most down to earth stuff I've heard in a long time. And it isnt a mock accent, she does sound like that.

This song wasn't my personal fav of the album, but it's grown on me loads.
