Kubichek! have set themselves pretty high standards, which is maybe why this fails to overwhelm. It whelms, but not very much. There’s something entirely secondhand and unmoving about the white funk drums and stabbing guitars, plus the vocals bloke sounds distressingly like Tim Booth from James. Perhaps recognising the limitations of ‘Method Acting’ as a song, the chaps have rather cleverly opted to dump all their volume and
