Matchbox Twenty: 'Exile On Mainstream'

'Does anybody actually like this tosh?'

Are they ‘Matchbox 20’ or ‘Matchbox Twenty’ these days? And does anybody actually like this tosh? Those are the only pertinent questions this retrospective collection raises – aside, perhaps, from why you’d need to write six new tunes for a ‘Greatest Hits’ unless the rest of your previous output was utter gash. Oops, we may have just answered that... RW

wow whoever wrote that is a moron! and must have humped his way to his job! if you have any taste in decent music that covers a few different genres then this is it. So according to the writer this is tosh and has a 2 rating, that must explain why they were only beaten to the top spot in the American charts by boss of rock Bruce Springstein. Rob Thomas has been inducted into the songwriters hall of fame in three different countries including America and Australia for his work with Matchbox Twenty (that answers your is it 20 or Twenty question) So if you actually want to hear music loved by the world but pushed to the side by the English people because they dont shout there mouths of about some stupid trash then buy this album but if your just another indie or emo kid who has decided to not conform by conforming then dont bother because the fantastic lyrics and the incredible ballads by this top rated band are clearly above your head.

What a tw*t. While the rest of the world buys their albums by the millions, this country continues to ignore them, probably on the advice of "music journos" like yourself. So, what talentless, flash in the pan, floppy haired indie p*sh would you recommend? Arctic Monkeys? Babyshambles? Probably. At least until the "next big thing" comes and goes.
