Boasting the kind of line-up you only get at the NME Awards shows, tonight saw Brighton twosome Blood Red Shoes up open, kicking up a fuss that belies their innocent beauty and lack of numbers, whilst Hot Club De Paris hammered the Astoria with a barrage of power-pop jams. The multi-membered disco funk beast that is !!! live sees three drummers drumming, two guitarists gurning, and a singer in a mosh pit, whilst Paul Smith and chums round it all off with the rewritten Maximo scripture and more tales from the little red book. 'Grafitti’, ‘Limassol’, ‘Going Missing’: it’s a show-stopping finale.
