These guys’ first album was pretty good because it sounded like a serious version of Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out. Sadly, this new stuff doesn’t work. On the promo photo, Paul Smith’s wearing a trilby hat and a woollen trench coat. The lack of a song on the CD only brings to attention how massively over-styled this band are and how they will always be too weird and annoying to ever be enjoyable.
