Album Review: Middle Class Rut

4 / 10 Album review:
“I was born and I’ll die and that’s it”. So say this Sacramento, California duo. Oh, the guilt! To have most things going for you and still act like a miserable fucker must be harder than having, I dunno, real problems? Why this lot have been celebrated as a visceral alt.rock time bomb instead of being lambasted for sounding like a poor man’s Jane’s Addiction is anyone’s guess. As a wise bunch of wayfarers from west London once said, when you’re in a rut, you gotta get out of it. In the case of Middle Class Rut they should just get out.
