Miles Kane - 'First Of My Kind'

An attempt at a '60s Bond film soundtrack

Miles Kane, The Last Shadow Puppets/The Rascals. It's been a mixed year for the Wirral-raised singer. While The Last Shadow Puppets went from strength to strength, Kane's 'other' band were forced to postpone their tour when Kane contracted laryngitis and lost his voice.
Miles wants so desperately for this Skream-produced track to soundtrack a ’60s Bond film that one imagines the little tart would sashay across the Atlantic in a slinky gold number to secure the job. His declaration that “true romance is what I’m after, daaahhhlin’” tickled this writer ever so, having watched Miles pash his way across the room at this year’s NME Awards.
