Moby : Why does my heart feel so bad
He feels bad yet, as a consequence, we feel better than we have at most points on the trawl through this week's singles...
Terming Moby one of pop's bad ideas seemed the right thing to do prior to the release of this year's 'Play' album. Acting the sanctimonious pillock had gone from being a sideline activity to a full-time commitment, leaving little space for the erratic yet sometimes thrilling musings of his early career.
Here, though, is as good an example of the volte-face as you'll find on the album. A potent waft of mournful modern blues which has you forgiving him his teetotal-Christian-vegan babblings and instead mightily interested in how he came up with such a rich and bountiful sound. He feels bad yet, as a consequence, we feel better than we have at most points on the trawl through this week's singles.
