Modest Mouse
Take one moderately successful American college rock band, add one English legend – in this case, the mighty, mighty Johnny Marr – and what do you get? Pretty damn close to perfect jangle-core indie, that’s what. Producers of tawdry dramas about US teens getting into all sorts of scrapes are probably wrestling naked in jelly at this very moment to get the rights to this tune. Don’t let them have it.
