Exhibiting all the charm of a bucket of sick, 'Plug In Baby' is the type of record which gives bombast a bad name. Hysterical in every sense of the word, its alarmingly Freudian video (women slithering around with techno-worms instead of legs) only adds to its fetid, masturbatory air. Of course, a certain type of perv is bang into that kind of thing, which is why 'Plug In Baby' seems inevitably destined to splash straight into the Top Ten, up against the likes of Atomic Kitten. And what a truly unpleasant thought that is.
