Mystikal : Shake Ya Ass
He's like the rap version of Alvin Stardust in that Green Cross Code ad...
"Shake ya ass!" growls New Orleans' Mystikal - but just in case you get a wee bit too enthusiastic in your booty bouncing (you know, you could be doing it on a podium, or in a tree, you're asking for trouble basically) he adds - "Watch yourself!" Nice. Good to see that, despite the endless bitch-baiting licentiousness, Mystikal's looking out for us. He's like the rap version of Alvin Stardust in that Green Cross Code ad - you can shake ya ass all you want kids, but hey, watch yourselves okay?
He's in no doubt, of course, that we will be shakin' our asses when this track drops, since it's a propulsive slab of sinuous breaks and hectic yelping. Ever the diplomat, Mystikal even gives us a cleaned-up version, where he implores us to "Shake it fast!" (Watch yourself!) And keen to prove he's in with the UK garage massive, there's even a 2-step mix. It's rubbish, but hey, you can still shake ya ass to it. As long as you watch yourself. Alright?
