Nelly : E.I
At my school, if someone called you Nelly you had 15 seconds to get their head down the nearest bog or you'd never get your sports kit back from the top of the bus shelter.
At my school, if someone called you Nelly you had 15 seconds
to get their head down the nearest bog or you'd never get your sports kit back from the top of the bus shelter. These days, it seems, they let Nellies become multi-platinum hip-hop flam-bam superstars, particularly if they're from St Louis and can make a noise like
a hundred Glock clips being
loaded at a marimba gang-bang.
A sweltering-afternoon-down-Compton-lido groove stanks in, "Andale! Andale moma! EI! EI!", as our hero lays some carpet during Sesame Street and NME's first ever hip-hop issue slaps itself smugly on the back, safe in the knowledge that 'Ms Jackson' will be Single Of The Week next week. Can't wait to hear MC Joey and Ice Spack.
