Oasis

I’m Outta Time

Continuing Liam’s compulsion to remind us we’re listening to a ‘song’ (“Here’s a song...” he begins), the closest thing you’ll get to an Oasis ballad this year floats along on psychedelic Beatles waves, with sliding guitars, distant “lalala”s and a poignant excerpt from a 1980 Lennon interview. Same old tricks? Well, yes. But it’s Oasis, and they’re actually pretty ace right now.

this was the first track i listened to off the new album as i heard it was meant to be the fucking masterpiece the more idiotic gallagher was cooking up the last 10 years. it kind of draws similiarities to his american counterpart Axl Rose, just as much of an abolute asswipe, releasing new work after a decade living off the royalties of past success.to tell you the truth i hav no idea what in gods name the fuss was about? all oasis songs are bad in their own little "we dont give a fuck" way but this is sincerely another god awful pathetic attempt at claiming he's manchester's john lennon.liam and the rest of the gobshites are stil continuously tryin to be the beatles when in reality its just a complete delusion and this song isnt helping to smack them with reality. 2 out of 10

One of the first songs on the new album to wear thin. It's not exactly bad its just no Little By Little or Let there be love. And I dunno why they are so good, they just hit the right buttons. It's a nice song, on a nice album. But really, the above comment is fully justified.

@ MahadyTheLips Really, there's a fucking difference between releasing one album in ten years and around 5 albums in ten years. Get it together you bastard, this is a great tune!

MahadyTheLips, your comment is the most frightful load of balderdash I've ever read! First of all this is a beautiful song Second, 'liam and the rest of the gobshites are stil continuously tryin to be the beatles when in reality its just a complete delusion and this song isnt helping to smack them with reality'? Is the fact that this song isn't smacking them with reality acknowledging it as good? Judge Oasis by their music, not their personalities you petty twat

The fact is, if Oasis and the Beetles had existed at the same time, Oasis would've been so much better that nobody would've heard of the Beetles! Noel Gallagher is in a different league of songwriting, and he always have been. I'm outta time is a beautiful song, sung perfectly and so SO much better than anything John Lennon ever could have made! I mean, i like the Beetles and many other band - even Coldplay, but Oasis are always better. Dig out your soul isn't a return to form; it's just yet another brilliant album.

chriss007, that is no fact! The Beatles are definitely in their own league that no one has reached. But i understand what youre getting at, Noel is an immense songwriter, but thats no fact....and not true. and dont compare the beatles to Coldplay....or mention them in the same phrase.

Even Noel Gallagher would punch Chris007 in the mouth for his utter nonsense. And spell the Beatles correctly you pleb. Show some respect.

lets be honest here, noel writes the songs worth hearing, this is ok for an amateur songwriter like liam but it sounds just like another of his awfull lennon parodies, give it a rest liam and let brother noel write the songs
