Orbital : Nothing Left
You wouldn't know it to look at them, but deep down [a]Orbital[/a] must be having fun.
And just how many times has ffrr label boss Pete Tong 'controversially' played this on his influential Radio 1 Friday night show? Couldn't tell you, as it happens, but fair play to the big man, even if this isn't an obvious choice of single from the Hartnolls. That said, there are officially no singles on the brothers' deceptively brilliant 'Middle Of Nowhere' album
and
'Nothing Left' is merely an exercise in tracking down the hottest remixers and letting them do their ubiquitous thing D a
rare
event in Orbital history. Hence a perky, body-poppin' reworking courtesy of Les Rythmes Digitales' Jacques Lu Cont, a jubilant trashing from breakbeat lynchpin Adam Freeland and, most pleasant of all, a rubbery trance-house assault provided by Bristolian superclubbers Way Out West.
You wouldn't know it to look at them, but deep down Orbital must be having fun.
