Palladium

Happy Hour

Is there a reason why session musicians remain exactly that - anonymous goons drafted in to implement someone else's ideas because letting them loose on their own would cause a blight on our charts and an eyesore in our magazine? Yes, and it's spelt Palladium, four fops just off the Twat Express who combine fezzes, rim shots and flute flourishes that Enigma would be ashamed of into a whole world of wrong. To paraphrase their very own press release: "the worst band on earth, right?"

Session musicians may be anonymous but they make a living working for others because they are so talented that they can drop onto other artists' music at a drop of a hat. People with that sort of talent have risen to the top time and time again in the past. Palladium will be no different, believe me. Happy Hour may not be the best that Pepper has written yet, but if you have been at any of their gigs you will know that they blow the socks off everyone with every song, this one included. Mika was not stupid to have chosen them as the support band for his up-coming tour. Neither was Amy Winehouse before that. These guys come with something different which is worth another listen. They are truly great songs from truly great musicians.

Palladiums music promotes new and original ideas that the music industry so often looks out for. Palladium consists of four top musicians each from excellent music colleges, all with a fresh outlook on music and a desire to create epic prog rock that is rare to find anymore. Their music is excellent for the reason that it contrasts so well with what is currently popular in the industry and also because it is very catchy and will have you on your feet the whole time. The industry is calling out for something new and original other than another band of musicians who seem to playing something remarkably similar to that of last weeks new releases and Palladium are the band that could do just that.
