Papa Roach : She Loves Me Not

...get a few beers down your neck and you’ll be bawling this like a maniac...

Nu-metal? Ha! Nooooo! Papa Roach didn’t spend the best part of two years howling about broken homes over scientifically assembled zeitgeist-friendly sounds. Oh no. You’re thinking of someone else, fool. They were an old-school rock band all along! At least that’s the u-turn they attempt to pull with this comeback, which finds the missing link between [a][/a] and Bon Jovi.

Some missing links remain so for a reason, of course, and the hilarious tantrum-on-a-rope lyrics ("I’m a jerk, life’s not fair, boo hoo, buy my records") and supremely clumsy rapped middle section are about as cool as shingles. But get a few beers down your neck and you’ll be bawling this like a maniac. Tune!
