Finally, a female-led antidote to all of those testosterone-rammed chaps of emo and, lucky for us and even luckier for you, they’re chuffin’ amazing. Like early No Doubt (stripped of all the ska bollocks), Kelly Clarkson’s wildest dreams and with added bedroom self-harm, ‘Misery Business’ could not be a finer vehicle for 18-year-old Hayley Williams’ tortured yell and sarky tone. A blockbuster of a tune.
