Making Enter Shikari sound like The Postal Service, Pendulum are a preposterous cadre of London-based Aussie ‘dudes’ fusing drum’n’bass with stadium emo for people in combat shorts. ‘The Other Side’ is their most shameless pop moment to date, and while awful, its utter, bulldozer-like disregard for soul, fashion and good taste elicits a certain amount of admiration.

I can well imagine a conversation between myself & Pendulum going somewhat thusly:Pendulum: "YEAH! WE ROCK!!!"Me: "Is that so? So how do you manage that then?"P: "We make dance tunes sound like rock tunes & vice versa! YEAH!!!"M: "So I gather. and what else do you do?"P: "Errr, well thats about it really."M: "I see. Well good luck to you kids but I'll stick to Spiderbait if its all the same to you, thanks."
