Quincy : After dark
Somehow they manage to find time to let their guitars run wild, scramble to a vocal crescendo and meddle with the odd weird bassline in two-and-a-half minutes...
A record to give you hope. Not just because it's a debut single that embarrasses most of the major releases this week but because it's from Scotland's Lithium Records, one of the most interesting independent labels around. Quincy, meanwhile, are from Cornwall and make a fine, explosive racket. Somehow they manage to find time to let their guitars run wild, scramble to a vocal crescendo and meddle with the odd weird bassline in two-and-a-half minutes. And they still don't forget to slip in a tune. Are you listening,Blink-182?
