Desecration Smile

Desecration Smile’ is every bit as terrible as its title might suggest. It’s the sound of a band that hit it big with their ‘redemption’ album and decided to milk it for all it’s worth; old men whining millionaire pain over plodding chords. Also, I’m sure there’s a bit where Kiedis sings “The love I made is the shape of MySpace/My face, my face” – the most meaningfully meaningless lyric NME has ever heard.
